December 13, 2008  Hope everyone is having a festive weekend!!! So, newsletter recipients - you should have received my newsletter late last night - if not, contact me and I'll send one over to you. I put a few holiday designs on ebay auction. They are 5 day auctions so I can get them to you before the holiday is over! But, no worries - all my designs are versatile - and for the most part can be worn all year long. I love the sparkle and color during the holidays and don't see why you have to hide all that festive spirit for a whole year!!! December 10, 2008  Happy Holidays everyone!!! Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful, festive holiday season. As usual, I am busier than usual - and really have neglected offering the new items I have stashed in my list pile! At any rate, I will be running a few auctions and starting a new giveaway for December. I plan on offering a special festive piece to thank you all for your votes all year! I also have some new things brewing for the coming year - so, hopefully I can get those settled and announce them soon! So, be sure to check your inbox for my December newsletter! November 4, 2008  Happy ELECTION DAY!!!! Please, please, please - Don't forget to set time aside and let your voice be heard - not to mention being a part of such a historical event - no matter who comes out the winner!!! Anyway, I went down to my polling place this morning - and lucky lucky me - there were 4 people in line!!! When I drove up, I thought they changed the polling location - duh - I guess I just went at the right time!

Well, with that said - I hope you all noticed that the October winner of the Sunny Day Bloom was announced on the giveaway page - but, I totally forgot to update this page. So, take a look and see who the lucky winner was!!!

November 2, 2008 Happy November everyone! Well, it's been an eventful week....My desktop crashed (haven't we all been there) eh, luckily I had MOST of my important stuff backed-up, but the hard part, of course, is to get my son over here to get me back up and going again! What a feat!!! Anyways, I am doing most of my stuff on my laptop right now, which really really is NOT the most friendliest of machines to work with...and has been a real pain!!! October 12, 2008 WOO HOOOoo!!! and hooray hooray!!! Artzee is back up! Guess they went on bead vacation!!! I put up the icons again, so please vote for me !!! I also found another ranking site but will not be integrating it for a few weeks while I get the program and icons together. I am working on tons of stuff for ebay auction which I will begin listing today! I am getting a bit anxious for some action, so I will be running another giveaway afterall. Eh, woe is me, but, we all know the economy is biting everyone's artistic hand - not to mention the hand that feed's the family!!! So, needless to say - just everyone on ebay and every other venue is really feeling the brunt of it. Geez, I for once in my life will be soooooo glad when this election is over!!May God Bless the winner - with the strength, tenacity and brains to fix up this mess so we can all get back to normal!!! September 29 - 2008!!! Hi everyone!!! I'm a bit late on my September giveaway updates - but, ya'all will have seen the most recent congrats on the giveaway page! Once again, I must stoop to pure humbleness and thank one and all for your amazing support - all your timely and consistent bids - but most of all for your appreciation of my work! So - that being said I must send my thanks to the recent winner of the Fall Flutterby necklace - Jacqui - from way over in Australia!!! I've had a few fans from that way - but, I am always so grateful - since I happen to know several designers from this great country whose designing abilities are just awesome!

And so....What is new??? As many of you know, the economical crunch our country is going through right now - is well...biting the bullet on many of my fellow artists, beadmakers and oh - just everyone in my neighborhood, as well! So, I will be delaying my next giveaway a month or so to spend some time researching some marketing techniques and other venues. I will also be working on re-stocking my ebay store with some Christmas inventory. Some more classic and traditional gifty type items that ya'all will be looking for to show off your hot side during the holiday season and some nice gift items for friends and family. I will be running auctions from now until the end of the year - and, hopefully the economy will pick up so we can have some festive fun this holiday season!

September 3 - 2008!!! Just touching base...I have been so busy putting the finishing touches on summer that I have really fallen behind on many of my goals of late! So, just letting you all know that I am finally getting on track and see some lights peeking out behind that pile... I should be up and running with a full ebay auction run by this weekend sometime. I am so excited about this, because this will be the largest run on ebay since the end of last year. I expect to have at least 20 items going (hopefully) with the majority of them being new designs. I will be adding just a couple of new items here and exchanging them for a couple to go on auction. But, most of my auctions are normally new designs - which will remain as such for the future, also.

New news on the designing side -  I am offering a couple of pieces on auction that will introduce my new "Cali Girl Expressions" - This collection will replace the "Princess Boutique" formerly my children's line of jewelry. I have spent much time coming to terms and being ok without the use of Swarovski Crystal in my childrens' designs. I figure that there must be something in those laws to put so much effort into them! So, in perusing the availability of quality artisan designs for our sweeties - I find many limitations in what is actually offered in childrens' design styles and component usage, as well. So, in short, this collection will try to address these shortcomings... Here is a sneak preview of my first design of this collection being offered on auction:

August 26th - 2008!!! WOW - does time ever fly in the good ol' summertime! Some clichés just never grow old! Well, once again, I thank everyone for joining in on the last bracelet giveaway!   The winner of the festive summer bracelet went to Cindi of Illinois!!! Cindi also qualified for a free pair of earrings for submitting over 7 votes!!! The winner with the most votes goes went to Victoria of Indiana with 13 votes over the course of the drawing dates! So, Victoria won the fun prize butterfly bling. Congratulations Cindi and Victoria and Heartfelt thanks to all of you that voted!!!

With summer winding down, we are just saying our good byes to the last of our summer voyages and family visitors! I am busily looking forward to the upcoming fall season with various new designs in store and some new ideas for spurning some fun here on my website combined with some other venues that I have totally ignored over the past few months! That being said, I am working on running some ebay auction with several new designs being offered. Many of you know that the jewelry that I offer on ebay auction is of the same high quality designs that I offer here on my website - at very low starting bids. July 29 - 2008!!! Hi everyone! Just a quick note to thank all of you that have voted so far - and to assure everyone that the earth in Cali was very good to us today! A few of you left messages about today's earthquake and geez, it was soooo scary - as me and the dh hovered under the door jamb - but we got through it all without a scratch. My Ms. Kitty was hiding from the rolling for a couple of hours and still has her little ears perched waiting for more...We are just about 50 miles from the epicenter so it was close enough to be a fresh, lively rumble but, thanks goodness it wasn't the BIG ONE !!! Thanks for your concerns!

July 26 - 2008!!! A new Jewelry Giveaway beginning tomorrow - July 27th!!! Are you ready??? It only takes a moment to vote - so, please put me in your favorites or that cool new gadget you got to remind you to do all the fun things in life!!! This month I made a fun bracelet that reminds me of Christmas in July - heh, thanks to QVC for the inspiration for that one! (even if I missed their program!) and, aptly so - I named it "Festive Summer"! It has a bit of a Southwestern flavor to it - which I just love because it can dress up my fav summer jeans but, it still has a fair amount of crystals and silver to really "wow" a summer sun dress! As promised - I have a 2nd prize - call it consolation prize or 2nd runner-up eh - whatever, I call it FUN!!! You can view the prize at the bottom of the Festive Summer - giveaway page. I thought that this would be a nice thing to do - since it only takes one chance to win the bracelet! So what else is new??? I re-did my sweet and sassy pages. Took some pieces out, which will probably go into future prizes. I will be working on more of these designs in the next few weeks. I have in process an anklet page - which just needs some finishing touches - it should be up the later part of next week. Some of you may have noticed that I added a links page - which is still in process. Links will be added on an ongoing basis. I may take some off - add others in. heh, links on a whim... I should call it... Also, take a quick peek at my new peace bracelet - a fun bracelet that just screams peace!!! This page will take a lot more research than I intended to find the right charity for the donations. Please send me a message using the contact form if you know of any organizations out there you particularly support and I will check them out. So for now, I will just spread the peace in my little ol' way!!!

July 18 - 2008!!! Thanks so much for all your vote!!!

And the winner is..... (drum roll, please....) Marianne from my own home state of California! (yay, cheers, applaud....) BIG CONGRATULATIONS, MARIANNE!!! I just had to wait for bug (that's my daughter - all the way in Boise, Id) to get home to pick the name out for me - cause well, I really wanted to cheat and pick all of you!!! Yes, she put the names in a hat, but it was overflowing so she had to put them in a big gift bag!

I am ever so grateful to everyone who put their vote in for me and kept me in a steady 1st place on the jewelry page and 3rd on the main list! Early in the running I made first place on the main list for hm...half a day and 2nd place a couple of nights...not bad... So yah, you guys are all in for a treat as I put together the next giveaway which will be in a week or so! I will send you out an email update when every thing is finalized.

June 28 - 2008!!! Happy Summer!!!

It's finally here!!! My fav time of year - man, I finally get some long awaited heat and the dh wants to turn the air conditioner on to freezing! Well, I am a true Cali girl to the bone and I just need to be surrounded by fun and sun to get the the old inspiration flowing in the good ol' summertime! I truly hope you all are doing wonderful and having fun vacations!

And now for jewelry updates! If you've been to my home page, then you know about the bracelet giveaway! I plan on running one of these at least once a month.  Future giveaways will have some other fun things integrated into them - much like the free earrings if you vote at least 7 times. I may also add 2nd and 3rd prizes if ya all do really good and get me up there on the rankings!!!

The next thing on my agenda is to get my newsletter going - oh yah, you know the one ya'll have been signing up for and never get....MY BAD - eek, but I am working on my bads!!! I am checking out some newsletter services, because well, I've just decided that I am not organized enough to do this all on my own - so, if you all use something that's just really spectacular - send me a message and let me know. Otherwise, it's good ol' google to direct me!

Sorry about the delay getting my "just beachy" up. My daughter was here visiting from Boise last week and well ya'll know where my priority was! If any of you keep tabs on me through ebay, you know then that I have virtually stopped running auctions for awhile to concentrate on this website. But, I am offering a lot of unique findings and charms in my ebay store - In Glitz n' Glitter - so check it out if you get a chance. I also have a huge project coming up selling antique Russian Orthodox Crosses from 16th, - 18th century. So, I have a whole summer planned out and somewhere in there I'm gonna just have to make time for REAL FUN!!!

June 5 - 2008!!! Happy Spring into Summer!!!

Geez, I am so sorry - has it really been a whole 5 months since my last update!!! Well, I am still plugging away at my last goals and there is NOT much to update on, but, I thought I'd just let ya'll know that I'm still here. Many of you know by seeing the state of my ebay store that I have made several changes over the past few months. Some good, - eh, some not so good....BUT, it is an ongoing process, so, hopefully I will come to some happy medium before long. My main goal has been met, in that I am no longer running auctions on a continual basis! And, that is a good thing because now that I have that out of the way - I can concentrate on other goals and take care of some things I have let go awry (for want of a better word!) after 6 some years of running ebay auctions every day - it's been nice to just kind of let that run on its' own!

I am so overjoyed that summer is finally getting here! Even if it is the busiest time of the year for me - I just love California when the earth is at it's sunniest and the warm golden glow of long long days just seems to spark inspiration and really get me into designing mode! So, look out for some of my beach and ocean themed designs coming soon. And summer is just fun, fun, fun to me - so I do a lot of whimsical fun things - charm bracelets and such. Anyway, my main summer goal is to get my lampworking studio set up! So, that will be taking up the majority of time this summer - but, I'm hoping to be making bracelets with my own lampwork by this time next year!!!

And hmmm, in closing, - if any of you buddies of mine get out to So Cal this summer - I am a gracious FUN hostess, and will be really ticked off big time - if you go to Disneyland and don't stop by!!!!  HUGS to ALL - Rose

Jan 2 - 2008!!! Happy New Year Updates!!!

Hi everyone! Well, most of this is just a repeat of what I put on my homepage, but ah well - its what's new so I will be annoying and repetitive in hopes that it will keep me on my toes!!

I will be doing a major overhaul on my website over the next few weeks and will be adding the majority of my new designs here and running just a few auctions - as opposed to the other way around like I have been doing in the past. Look out for many of the design styles that I have been selling on eBay to show up here on first run - and items that don't sell at auction will be transferred here instead.  Hopefully, by mid year, I can be doing the majority of my sales here. I will maintain my ebay store by offering a few of my more simpler design styles - The Sweet n' Sassy Collection for 2008 and The Jewel Stax Collection. Unfortunately, The Children's Boutique is on hold for the time being as my New Year plans for this line has been halted by the recent California law that prohibits retail and internet sales of any Children's jewelry to include any leaded crystal. :O Woe is me for not keeping up on new laws! I am playing around with some ideas, but for now I'll be concentrating on adding my new designs. I also have in the works to update my gallery page - so look out for that soon!

OHHHH and my # 1 resolution for 2008 is to keep the torch warm and practice, practice with my beadmaking!

On a sadder note... I can't go forward to 2008 without a sad farewell to my good friend, Dawn Habisreitinger who left us just before the new year.  I can't tell you how sorely she will be missed in MY life without telling you what she gave to me in HER life - Consistent encouragement &  support which gave me the confidence to learn and grow in my art. TRUTH - for which I will always be grateful for.  Laughter when I wanted to cry.  But, MOST of all - genuine. pure. friendship. For which there can never be enough of.
