Maryam's Miracle Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation I am so happy to report that Maryam's Miracle walk was a huge, huge success! Maryams' team alone netted over $5,000.00!!!! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for kindness, overwhelming generosity and most of all your heartfelt caring!!! Special thanks to my bead group - The Bead Hive - whose members never fail to provide love, support and generous hearts no matter who is in need... And so this concludes our 2010 Miracle Walk for Cystic Fibrosis - I sincerely hope that if nothing else - you and so many others have gathered an awareness and knowledge that this disease is not about today's walk - rather - it is about tomorrow's future - the hope for a prolonged, pain-free life for another Cystic Fibrosis sufferer... Please continue to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Maryam is currently in the hospital (since April 26th) - just one of the dozens of stays in her young life and many more to come in the future...She just celebrated her 10th birthday in this hospital on Saturday - with family and friends that love her dearly! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Many of you know that our grandaughter (my step daughter - Karen's daughter) has suffered from Cystic Fibrosis for most all of her young life. There is NO cure - there is NO government funding - yet this is a debilitating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the U.S. This is a devastating disease that needs your support NOW - to save lives and work Miracles! In order to raise awareness and funds - we will be walking for this cause - at Hartwell Park in Long Beach, CA on June 12, 2010 beginning at 8:30 am. Please walk with us or donate for our cause. For each donation of at least$5.00 - I will be donating a free pair of earrings. Below are just some of the pictures of the earrings that you may receive. They will be chosen at random and shipped free. You are welcome to request a specific pair or color - materials are limited, but, I will do my best to accommodate you! You can send me your address via my facebook page, or email me @ greatstrides at originalrose dot com. If you prefer, you can opt to take a 20% discount on any item listed on any of my sites - here, eBay or my Etsy store. Just click on any logo at the top of my page to access my home page where you will find links to all of my selling venues. You can either email me with your request and I will revise the cart - or I will issue a refund for completed transactions. You must complete the donation before you receive any discounts.
